Leonardo Marino is a composer and pianist. He has written pieces for soloists, ensembles, orchestra and two operas: APNEA, performed during the Festival di Musica Contemporanea della Biennale di Venezia in 2017, and Huit Minutes - Nous y étions presque, (produced by Operalab.ch, a platform created by the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Comédie de Genève and the schools of high specialization of the Suisse Romande), performed in Geneva in September 2021.
He was mentored composer of the Peter Eötvös Foundation in 2020-21. In September 2022, he won the Composition Prize for chamber music at International Competition George Enescu.
His music has been broadcast by various international radios (Rai Radio 3, RTS2, WDR3) and his scores are published by Edizioni Suvini Zerboni.
