Jordan Hunt is a composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.
He is Musical Director of the Theo Adams Company, musical companion to Grammy-nominated Olivia Chaney and former violinist in the Irrepressibles. He is co-founder of label Principle Six. His classical music is also released on NMC.
He creates vivid, emotive music, weaving melodic ‘sad pop’ and symphonic-inspired textures.
Hunt is an experienced recording artist whose debut EP of songs, Long Lost, was released in 2018 to critical acclaim and premiered on BBC Radio 6 Music. In early 2020, he was Artist of the Week on Kerrang! Radio’s Fresh Blood show, with standalone single The Sea. In the summer of 2020, he released classical EP To the Ocean Floor, commissioned by Sadler’s Wells. In 2022, his standalone single Two, Alone for solo violin was featured on BBC Radio 3, Resonance FM and Soho Radio.
A natural collaborator, he has received commissions from and worked with artists and organisations as diverse as Lana Del Rey, FKA twigs, Paloma Faith, Years & Years, Kylie Minogue, Fiona Shaw, BBC One, ITV, Channel 4, Nowness, Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, the London Sinfonietta, BBC Philharmonic, Hallé Youth Orchestra, Philharmonia, and the late, great Oliver Knussen.
