Volunteering

Our volunteers work alongside student gallery assistants to welcome visitors and explain the collections and displays. Training is available to give tours, assist with school visits and occasionally an opportunity might arise to assist with administrative, digitisation or other collections-based work.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering, please contact us via email museum@ram.ac.uk, or call the Academy switchboard on +44 (0)20 7873 7373 and ask to speak with a Museum staff member.

Donations

The Museum is pleased to consider offers of relevant items to add to the collection, however we have a strict collection development policy (see the 'about' section).

The Royal Academy of Music is under no obligation to accept any material offered. In the event that the Museum accepts any item(s) as a donation to the collection, this does not guarantee display of the item(s).

All offers are considered at regular acquisition committee meetings. Please do not bring unsolicited items to the Museum or the main Academy building.

If you have an item you would like to donate, please complete the prospective offer form below and return to museum@ram.ac.uk
