As part of the North London Festival of Music, Speech and Drama, the United Kingdom Harp Competition took place on Monday 1 May. Of the six finalists taking part, four were students from the Academy's Harp Department. Congratulations to Huw Boucher who won 1st Prize, Aisha Palmer who won 2nd prize, and Priyanka Gohal who won 3rd prize.
This month we were also delighted to see Master's student Anna Phillips (pictured above) win the Nansi Richards Scholarship. This Scholarship is offered to Welsh harpists under 25 years, and Anna's achievement marks the second year in a row that the £1,500 prize has been won by an Academy student.
