At the end of April, Tristan Weymes and Gerard Lim, who are both in the second year of their Master's degrees, competed in the first International Competition for Choral Conductors: Magister Inside.
After progressing through the semi final, which took place in Arezzo, Tuscany, Tristan and Gerard travelled to Siena for the final of the competition at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana. There, they conducted the Coro della Cattedrale di Siena in a public concert which featured works by Bruckner and Poulenc. The final was judged by a jury of internationally renowned choral conductors including Nicole Corti, Sofia Gioldasi and Gary Graden.
Tristan and Gerard were awarded Second Prize and Third Prize respectively, and we would like to congratulate them both.
