Stephanie Wake Edwards has been chosen as one of the Royal Opera House’s 2019/20 Jette Parker Young Artists. She is selected as one of six successful artists, from over 500 applications from 61 countries.
The Jette Parker Young Artist Programme is comprised of young professional singers, conductors, directors and répétiteurs, and works to support their artistic and career development. Stephanie will work at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden over the next two years. Stephanie has also been chosen for Glyndebourne’s Jerwood Young Artist programme, which coaches exceptional vocal talents.
Graduate Ella Taylor and current student Shengzhi Ren have been offered places at the National Opera Studio for the 2019/20 academic year. They will receive nine months of intensive training working on skills needed to be an opera singer at the very highest level.
Sarah Gilford has been chosen as a member of the Munich Opera Studio. The Opera Studio is the Young Artist Programme of the Bavarian State Opera, and supports ten exceptionally talented young artists each year, aiming to prepare them as rigorously as possible for a professional, international career.
Kali Hardwick has been awarded a place on OperAvenir, Basel Opera’s Young Artist Programme. OperAvenir gives selected students the opportunity to gain stage experience and direct work with an array of international conductors and directors.
