Opera appearances in 2015/16 and beyond include Balstrode Peter Grimes for Theater an der Wien; Telramund Lohengrin for La Monnaie, Brussels; title role in Saint-Saens Henry Vlll with Münchner Rundfunkorchester and Ulf Schirmer on a European tour and recording; Captain Corcoran HMS Pinafore with Scottish Opera and Richard Egarr at the 2015 Edinburgh International Festival; Donner and Gunther in Opera North’s Wagner Ring Cycle in 2016; L’ombre de Virgile in Benjamin Godard Dante on a European tour and recording; and Donner Das Rheingold at the 2015 Ruhrtriennale Festival with director Johan Simons and conductor Teodor Currentzis.
Concerts include Mendelssohn Elijah with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Nicholas McGegan with whom Andrew will also appear in concerts including music by Bach and Mendelssohn; Janacek Glagolitic Mass with Orchestre Métropolitain Montreal and Yannick Nézet-Séguin; Haydn The Creation with Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia and Richard Egarr, and with Paul Daniel and the Porto Symphony Orchestra; Mahler Symphony no.8 for the Leeds International Concert Series; Bach St John Passion (Christus and arias) with The Cleveland Orchestra and Franz Welser-Möst and Haydn The Seasons with Paul McCreesh and the Gabrieli Consort on a European tour and recording.
