Gabriel is currently studying Musical Direction and Coaching at the Royal Academy of Music, having recently graduated from the University of Cambridge where he attained a first-class BA in Music from Queens’ College. There he developed various student-written productions from the conceptual stage, working with composers and directors to arrange and orchestrate music for a variety of ensembles, including Living With Sin (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, 2022) and The Man Who Wouldn’t Be Murdered (Corpus Playroom, 2021).
In London, Gabriel worked as Music Director on productions of 13, Crazy for You, and Our House (Latymer Theatre Company, 2016, 2018, 2020) and as a rehearsal pianist under professional Music Directors for shows such as Legally Blonde (Latymer Theatre Company, 2021) and Sweeney Todd (Royal College of Music, 2019).
Gabriel is also a Company Yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians. He was awarded the 2024–2025 scholarship for Music Direction, representing the Company as a Young Artist.
In addition to his musical theatre background, Gabriel is an experienced jazz pianist and composer. He was Music Director for the Cambridge University Jazz Orchestra in 2022-23 and routinely performs and composes for ensembles in professional settings around the UK.
Gabriel holds the Tomoro Foundation Award at the Royal Academy of Music.
