Grainne has a long and distinguished career as a leading lady in some of London’s most iconic West End shows.
Starring roles include Chess, Aspects of Love, Miss Saigon and Les Misérables, and her many appearances as Fantine in Les Misérables make her the longest holder of this role in the show’s West End history.
As a touring artist, Grainne has played Grizabella in Cats, Janet in The Rocky Horror Show, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Cinderella in Into the Woods and Eva Perón in Evita, among many others.
Grainne has also had an active solo concert career performing regularly on television, and with leading orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Concert, Birmingham Symphony and the Royal Philharmonic orchestras.
Recordings include Ellen on the original cast recording of Miss Saigon (Germany), A Night at the Musicals with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Essentials with the Munich Symphony Orchestra.
Grainne sits on the audition panel for the Royal Academy of Music’s MA Musical Theatre Course, taught for four years at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts, the celebrated ‘Fame’ school in New York City, and is a sought-after acting-through-song and vocal coach.
