Oliver studied law at University College London, and practised as a solicitor in London, Paris and Abu Dhabi prior to joining the Royal Academy of Music. He has been an active member of the National Youth Theatre, regularly performing with fellow members in London, and devising new work with members from his intake. Credits include Fagin in Oliver!, Shylock in The Merchant of Venice (The Torch Theatre), Corny Collins in Hairspray (through the medium of Welsh), and ensemble in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Bloomsbury Theatre).

He has also performed individually and within choirs across Wales, and regularly competed nationally. Oliver hopes to inspire and increase access to the arts for those underrepresented and from rural communities within his future work.

Oliver received a scholarship from the Wayne Sleep Foundation to aid his studies at the Royal Academy of Music.
