Sue studied with Marisa Robles at the Royal College of Music and then with Catherine Michel in Paris.
After completing her studies in 1993, she was the string category winner and a finalist of the Royal Over-Seas League competition as well as winning major awards from The Tillett Trust, The Martin Musical Scholarship, The National Federation of Music Societies and The Countess of Munster Trust, which enabled her to give solo and chamber music recitals around the country as well as at the Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall.
Sue has been Principal Harp of Glyndebourne Touring Opera since 2001 and Garsington Opera since 2010 as well as working regularly with the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Birmingham Royal Ballet and Rambert Dance Company. She is a regular Guest Principal with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and also works with the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and many other orchestras in London and throughout the country.
As a concerto soloist she has performed with the Philharmonia, Bournemouth Sinfonietta and Northern Sinfonia.
She has also been a guest player on many West End shows as well as playing on classical and commercial sessions.
