Pianist Tamara Stefanovich counts Pierre Boulez among her most significant mentors. She now returns to the Academy to curate two performances marking the centenary of his birth through the lens of key solo and chamber works. The programmes will include Boulez’s Sonatine for flute and piano and Douze Notations, Messiaen’s Harawi (selected songs) and Thème et variations and Benjamin’s Three Miniatures for Solo Violin.
These concerts are part of a series of events at the Academy celebrating Boulez’s music, teachers, influences and legacy.
