Programme notes

Brigid Brass wrap well-loved arrangements of Bach around an eclectic mix of pieces from different eras. The works themselves seamlessly blend influences from different musical styles and genres; for example, Ludi Caeli (2010) by Finnish composer Tomi Räisänen quotes Josquin des Prez (c. 1450-1521) in the last movement.
