Hans Abrahamsen and Katalin Koltai present a new solo guitar work inspired by Abrahamsen’s October, originally composed only for the left hand. The new version uses the magnetic fretboard technology of the Ligeti Guitar invented by Koltai, which allows for the rapid transformation of the guitar’s open strings. This unique lecture-recital features both artists performing and discussing the creative process, and will be followed by a Q&A.
