Percussion instruments as you’ve never heard them before.
Neil Percy, longest-serving Principal Percussionist of the London Symphony Orchestra and Head of Timpani and Percussion at the Academy, conducts a concert of dazzling contemporary music.
The programme opens with Mark-Anthony Turnage’s New England Etudes, which include a solemn final movement titled ‘Bells for Ukraine’ alongside groove-based and funk-inspired sections. Sarah Marze’s brand new work prefaces a piece by Swedish composer Anders Eliasson, and Cage’s satirical Credo in US.
