Programme notes
Through musical performance and conversations between artists The Oud and the Lute explores dialogues between musical cultures, using two instruments that might appear similar at first glance. An oud player and a lutenist will share their musical journeys and an instrument maker will provide insight into their relationship with the lute through the process of making.
After the event, participants are invited to a reception and viewing of a small exhibition.
